Hi I'm Monique, I have been dancing for over 10 years and I am qualified as a dance movement therapist. It is a therapeutic practice that combines the presence of a qualified professional (me) with the opportunity to connect to the body (self), through movement. I will be offering a session where a group can talk, move freely and participants can express themselves in any way they want. Principles of respect and non-discrimination are to be followed throughout the session. This is NOT a dance class! It is an embodied exploration using metaphor, imagery and the senses to find meaning, relate or release stuck emotions.
